This review is ok,
Although I think they are putting too much into the linear gameplay mechanic of this one. Final Fantasy X was extremely Linear, but extremely entertaining in my mind.
I honestly cannot wait to get my hands on this tomorrow, gotta step up and get some homework done, so I can spend as much time as possible playing this 60+ hour game.

Thats what I've been doing since 7am.
Getting homework done, that is. I'm a few questions away from having everything complete until after Spring break in early April!

I went to the midnight release, just going to add it to the pile of unopened games I have for now. I got it on PS3, but might end up with a free copy on 360. If that happens I might take it back.
I hope to hear from people on here what they think of the game.

I agree with FFX. The main story was very linear, but still very engaging and deep. It sounds like the characters are very similar as well. Can't wait to play it. Or any PS3 game for that matter.

I know I said I wasn't going to open it, but I've been waiting for a long time to play...so I did. I got my first PSN trophy!
I do have a question about PS3 however. I have the adapter so you can copy your PS2 memory card to your HDD. I thought that I'd be able to copy files from the HDD back to the memory card and was unable to do so. Is there anyway to transfer my saved game for FFXIII to another PS3?

Yeah the 360 brings back the "old school" feel of "Please insert Disc 2."

First Impressions -
The graphics are just wow, everything about this game looks AMAZING!
The fighting mechanic is a lot of fun, and isn't that hard to learn yet, but from what I've read it does get rather complex.
The linear aspects of the game are very similar to Final Fantasy X and XII, you travel down a set path as of right now, with the odd area here and there to go and explore briefly.
The enemies are great, fantastic design.
The repetitiveness I can see getting annoying, BUT with the aspect of getting new gear, fighting harder enemies, and overall trying to complete the game, I can't see it stopping me from playing.
The story so far is minimal as I haven't completed that much, but I look forward to seeing how it develops.
