March 9, 2010 - Infinity Ward has finally put a date on the first Modern Warfare 2 map pack. Those anxious for an expansion to Modern Warfare 2 will only have to wait until March 30th…if you have the Xbox 360 version of the latest Call of Duty installment.

As announced at last year's E3 trade show, the downloadable content will come to Xbox Live first. The announcement of the release date was given through the cleverly named mapathy.com, which gives no indication as to when the maps will be coming to the PS3 or how much this download will cost.

I hate infinity ward!! i honestly do!!

i ahte game companies that put one console above the others!! another reason i stopped playing this on PS3 and moved on!

every console equally helped them profit the highest amounts for any game and this is how they treat us the consumer

360 is lucky!! cause i heard PS3 wont get it till the end of april! early may! lol

Lol, at this point, I'm not sure how many of the PS3-MW2 guys around here will be buying them, a lot have moved onto BFBC and we get 3 sets of map packs for free....along with weapons and game modes.

Ya exactly!! we had free stuff waiting for us on day one.. next week we get all new weapons, specs etc etc for each class and then two weeks later we get even more maps...

F IW and F MW2 lol people gotta get over this PS3 hate becuase honestly its BS!! DLC should be released equally not wait a mont or 2 weeks thast BS!!

March 14, 2010 - Details about Infinity Ward's upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 map pack, titled the Stimulus Package, have been posted on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace website. This download contains five maps in total, two of which appeared in the first Modern Warfare title.

This pack will be available to download on Xbox LIVE starting on March 30. PS3 and PC owners will have to wait a bit longer. No price for the content was listed.

Here are the map descriptions:

Bailout - a multi-level apartment complex

Storm - an open industrial park littered with heavy machinery

Salvage - a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars

Crash - a war-torn urban environment (CoD4)

Overgrown - features a massive dry creek bed (CoD4)

Update: Activision has confirmed the pack will cost 1200 Microsoft points ($14.99).

Whos really gonna spend this amount of money on a map pack.....

Check the 4-packs of Monster energy drinks, they had a promo for MW2 for DLC and themes. It shows MW2 on the outside of the packs and the codes are inside the top cover.

i dont understand how its right to do this i mean we spend 60 bucs on a game and myself i spent 120 or whatever it was for the presiege edition and i get gyped to pay 15 dollars more i MEAN WTF maybe if the shinanigans that happen in this game would have stopped or been fixed id still be playing it and not BC 2 but no they didnt.... and how am i gonna see spending 15 on 5 maps when im getting 5 sets of new skins and such for free just got 2 maps free and getting 2 more free in april.... it just dosent make sense at all

Wow I'm not the only one to get the NVGs, nice to know I'm not alone. Yeah it's crazy to put the map packs up for 1200 pts/$14.99!!! Maybe they need the extra cash to pay off the CEOs they just canned...
